Set in a private reserve with direct access to the Namib Naukluft National Park and the famous red dunes of Sossusvlei, Wilderness Little Kulala is located at the heart of Namibia's Namib Desert. The camp comprises 11 luxury Suites or 'kulalas', beautifully designed using neutral colours, organic shapes, and enormous glass windows to maximise the views. Each unit is designed for comfort and is fully equipped with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and a fully stocked minibar. All Suites provide excellent views from their private verandahs, flat rooftops and even from their outdoor showers. They also have their own private salas and plunge pools. For an unforgettable night in the desert, you can choose to sleep under the stars as a bed can be prepared for you on the flat roof of your suite. These 'star beds' let you fall asleep under the blanket of the Milky Way and wake up to the golden dawn of the desert. Inter-leading rooms are available for those travelling with children.

Using thatch, wood and glass, the lodge blends both effortlessly and stylishly into the desert environment. The lounge and bar area flows onto a spacious wooden deck that doubles as an alfresco dining room with endless views over the desert. The deck extends towards the refreshing swimming pool that also boasts magnificent views. Select a book from the lodge library and spend a lazy afternoon around the pool or browse through the African crafts and artefacts that can be bought at the lodge's boutique.

Meals are usually served at individual tables on the extensive deck from which guests can enjoy beautiful views although on chilly evenings meals are served in front of the large fireplace. Excellent wine from the lodge's underground wine cellar complements each meal. You’re likely to spot the hardy ostrich, springbok, and gemsbok as well as carnivores like the spotted hyena and brown hyena or an occasional cheetah. Smaller species like the bat-eared fox and aardwolf can be seen at night or at sundown when the desert starts to cool. The dune lark is endemic to this area alone.
