Gabby DB 2024-05-28 Africa Tailormade is the BEST IN THE BUSINESS, hands down. This was my dream trip and I went with my best friend of nearly 40 years. The team first listened to what we wanted out of the trip, a critical step missed by many travel agents, but this team listened, asked clarifying questions and proceeded to build the perfect itinerary for us. I’ve traveled a lot in my life, and this was the trip to beat all trips. I was expecting to see some animals and have nice accommodations, but wow, i wasn’t expecting the quantity and quality of our animals sightings - so many incredible moments. And the accommodations chosen for us were spectacular in every way, like glamming on steroids. Each camp was unique and beautiful (we literally dropped our jaws in awe) and the staff at the three camps we stayed at were warm and genuine, and I am at a loss for words to describe the breadth and depth of knowledge our guides had - the people really enriched our time at each camp. Every single experience from airports to transportation and accommodations was executed beautifully, and that enabled us to BE in every moment of the trip, because they removed all burdens and distractions. They are the best and if you are planning a trip to Africa, this is the company you want to trust to get it just right - for you. The sign of a life-changing trip is when you and your BFF say to each other multiple times a day “Pinch me, is this real? This is our life right now! Can you believe it?” We are so grateful to Alison and Africa Tailormade; they are dream makers.

Africa Tailormade created an extraordinary itinerary for us that included our budget, dietary restrictions, and other requirements. Alison Rouse van Deventer and her entire team happily answered our many questions over months of planning our trip. We visited 3 safari camps in the Okavango Delta over a 10 day period- each one spectacular. Africa Tailormade checked in on us each step of the way to may sure there were no issues. One of the greatest tributes we can give to Alison and team is when a group of 4 travel agents were visiting our last lodge to be informed agents going forward in their own businesses. The bottom line was that our entire group's experience exceeded expectation by a long way. Even the sceptics were impressed. Our starting point was SA and a Safari. Alison is extremely knowledgable and guided our itinerary, suggested hotels, game parks and lodges all within a very tight budget. Every choice ticked the right boxes. She also provided a lot if ideas and for each leg, Cape Town, Franschhoek and Greater Kruger and we was very flexible in what we booked directly and what she arranged. Alison booked all the hotels and transfers and managed the communication throughout our stay checking to ensure all was as expected. Very highly recommended and one of the best travel company experiences. We will definitely use Africa Tailormade again.

Africa Tailormade organised our safari and what a recommendation they made. The travel was seamless, the lodge was exquisite and the game drives were unbelievable with superb guiding.
Over two days we came into contact at very close quarters with: a family of elephants, 5 different leopards from young to a masterful male, all feeding with hyena catching the left-overs, a cheetah after the chase resting then being chased away by a baby elephant, two prides of lions with babies brushing past the side of the open top transport, wildebeest, buffalo, zebras, rhinos and hippos. To top the trip,as we were having breakfast on the final day, an elephant came to visit. A trip to remember, thanks My Africa Tailormade!
