Premier Botswana Machaba Safaris - Okavango Delta

Day 1

• On arrival in Maun, you will be met by a representative of Mack Air who will you transfer you on a light-aircraft flight to Khwai River Airstrip (25-minute flight).
• On arrival at the airstrip, you will be met by a representative of Machaba Safaris who will transfer you to Machaba Camp (30-minute drive).
• After check-in, you will spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2

Your days will be spent at leisure exploring the Khwai Area of the Okavango Delta, Botswana

Typical Day on Safari (timings may slightly vary)

• 5:00 am - Wake up call
• 5:30 am - Tea, coffee, biscuits and your morning activities begin
• During your morning Safari you stop in the bush for coffee, tea, hot chocolate & snacks
• 8:30 am - Return from your Safari for breakfast
• After breakfast your day will be at leisure for relaxing, swimming, bush walks, or other activities of a personal preference
• 1:00 pm - Lunch is served
• 4:00 pm - Afternoon Tea
• 4:30 pm - You will depart on your afternoon activity
• During your afternoon Safari you will stop in the bush for Sundowner drinks
• 7:30 pm - Return from your Safari, dinner is served
• Enjoy a nightcap & chat around the fire before retiring

Optional Activities at Machaba Camp include:

• Morning and Evening Game Drives
• Walking (guide dependant)
• Mokoros (water levels dependent)
• Game Viewing from the comfort of your own tent
• Catch up on some reading, with our large collection of reading material.
• Visits to the local community (water level dependent)
• After Dinner Night Drive

Day 3

Your days will be spent at leisure exploring the Khwai Area of the Okavango Delta, Botswana

Day 4

• This morning after breakfast, you will be collected & transferred to Khwai River Airstrip in sufficient time for your light aircraft flight to Qorokwe Airstrip.
• Upon arrival at Qorokwe Airstrip, you will be met by a representative from Machaba Safaris who will transfer you to Gomoti Plains Camp (40-minute drive).
• Your afternoon will be spent at leisure.

Day 5

Your days will be spent at leisure exploring the Okavango Delta

Optional Activities at Gomoti Plains Camp include:

• Game Drives (night drives are seasonal and depend on water levels)
• Guided Walking Safaris
• Seasonal Mokoro Trips
• Seasonal Motorised Boat Excursions
• In-room massages

Day 6

Your days will be spent at leisure exploring the Okavango Delta

Day 7

• This morning after breakfast, you will be collected & transferred to Qorokwe Airstrip in sufficient time for your light aircraft flight to Kiri Airstrip.
• Upon arrival at Kiri Airstrip, you will be met by a representative from Machaba Safaris who will transfer you to Kiri Camp (10-minute drive).
• Your afternoon will be spent at leisure.

Day 8

Your days will be spent at leisure exploring the Okavango Delta

Optional Activities at Kiri Camp include:

• Game Drives
• Seasonal Mokoro Trips
• Guided Walking Safaris
• Game Viewing From the Comfort of Your Own Tent
• Fishing
• Evening Night Drive

Day 9

Your days will be spent at leisure exploring the Okavango Delta

Day 10

• After your morning Safari activity and breakfast, you will be transferred to Kiri Airstrip in sufficient time to board your onward light aircraft flight to Maun.
• On arrival in Maun you will connect with your onward flight.
