Perched on an elevated ridge inside the South Luangwa National Park, the camp overlooks a private floodplain and watering hole teeming with life. Guests are immersed in the rhythms of the bush – from the graceful stride of giraffes to the distinctive heart-shaped noses of puku antelope and the haunting calls of hyenas under the African night sky.
Luxury Safari Tents
Each of the 8 air-conditioned tented suites is designed to offer both luxury and authenticity. Featuring super-king or twin beds, en-suite bathrooms with double vanities, indoor showers, and oversized bathtubs with sweeping views, they balance rustic charm with indulgent comfort. Main Lodge & Atmosphere
The main area features indoor and open-air lounges, a choice of dining experiences, a campfire for storytelling under the stars, and a hide overlooking the waterhole. Combining elements of classic Luangwa bush camps with influences from traditional Zambian village life, the lodge is enriched by local artworks and handcrafted details – making it both stylish and deeply welcoming.
Seasonality
Puku Ridge Camp is open from April to November each year and closes from 01 December to 01 April.
South Luangwa National Park is the highlight of eastern Zambia. Known to locals as simply 'the South Park,' it was initially founded as the Luangwa Game Park in 1904, and converted to one of three game reserves in 1938. The impressive park covers an area of about 9050 square kilometres of the Luangwa Valley floor and lies anywhere from 500 meters to 800 meters above sea level. With its western and northwestern edge bounded by the Muchinga Escarpment and the southern border line with the meandering Luangwa River, there's no shortage of dramatic and fascinating topography in this stunning game-rich park.
