Madikwe Game Reserve
Begin your adventure at the country's fourth largest game reserve, Madikwe Game Reserve, located in the North-West Province. Here, experience close encounters with Africa's majestic wildlife during exhilarating game drives led by expert guides. From the Big Five to African wild dogs, each moment in this pristine wilderness promises awe-inspiring wildlife sightings.
Marakele National Park
Continue your safari dream at Marakele National Park which is characterized by contrasting majestic mountain landscapes, grass-clad hills and deep valleys. All the large game species from elephant and rhino to the big cats and an amazing variety of birds including the largest colony of endangered Cape Vultures in the world have settled here.
Day 1
- On arrival at Johannesburg, OR Tambo International Airport, you will be met by a representative from Federal Airlines who will escort you to the hangar for your flight to Madikwe
- On arrival at Madikwe Airstrip, you will be met by a representative from Jaci's Safari Lodge who will transfer you to the lodge (15-minute drive)
- After check-in, you will spend the rest of the day at leisure
Day 2
Your days will be spent at leisure exploring the Madikwe Reserve
Typical Day on Safari (timings may slightly vary)
- 5:00 am - Wake up call
- 5:30 am - Tea, coffee, biscuits and your morning activities begin
- During your morning Safari you stop in the bush for coffee, tea, hot chocolate & snacks
- 8:30 am - Return from your Safari for breakfast
- After breakfast your day will be at leisure for relaxing, swimming, bush walks, or other activities of a personal preference
- 1:00 pm - Lunch is served
- 4:00 pm - Afternoon Tea
- 4:30 pm - You will depart on your afternoon activity
- During your afternoon Safari you will stop in the bush for Sundowner drinks
- 7:30 pm - Return from your Safari, dinner is served
- Enjoy a nightcap & chat around the fire before retiring

Day 3
Your days will be spent at leisure exploring the Madikwe Reserve
Day 4
- This morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airstrip in sufficient time for your light aircraft flight to Thabazimbi Airstrip
- Upon arrival at Thabazimbi Airstrip, you will be met by a representative from Marataba Safari Lodge who will transfer you to the lodge (1-hour drive)
- Your afternoon will be spent at leisure
Day 5
Your days will be spent at leisure exploring the Marakele National Park

Day 6
Your days will be spent at leisure exploring the Marakele National Park

- This morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airstrip in sufficient time for your light aircraft flight to Johannesburg
- On arrival in Johannesburg, you will proceed to your onward destination
